Outstanding food and service are central to the experience Segara Marine offers to guests. The chef will produce a variety of food suitable for all guests and will cater to people with specific dietary needs. The Chef will ensure that all food preparation and presentation follow company guidelines about the meal plan. He/she is also responsible for maintaining general cleanliness and impeccable hygiene of the galley and food storage areas (including fridges, freezers, and cold rooms).
The chef is responsible for the following:
1. Ensuring that the established meal plan is followed and that all 4 meal services plus snacks are provided daily.
2. Ensuring that the standards and procedures for the general hygiene are followed in the galley, food storage areas (including freezers, cold rooms, refrigerators, etc.) are maintained to an acceptable standard at all times. Ensuring that all other crew who are involved in food preparation and service follow Segara Marine standards for food hygiene.
3. Supervise all crew involved with food preparation and coordinate with any crew involved with the meal service.
