The Host/Hostess is a vital part of the housekeeping team. The Host/Hostess is responsible for service of all food and beverages during the cruise and works in close coordination with the Chef and other galley staff. The Host/Hostess is responsible for all onboard bar duties including keeping an accurate record of guest bar purchases. They will keep an eye on our guests to make sure that they are happy; make sure that if they need anything, they know where to find you and how to get your attention. Carry out your tasks with due care and attention as people’s comfort and happiness are in your hands.
The Host/Hostess is responsible for the following:
1. Running the bar in the saloon, which includes making and serving all drinks for the guests; taking orders from guests; stock management of bar items; keeping a record of guest purchases of bar drinks.
2. Ensuring there are always enough clean glasses, cups, utensils and serving ware for guests.
3. Keeping drinks refrigerators stocked and clean at all times
